Lust have it! March Box

Yay, the collectable boxes are back! But that's definitely not the most exciting thing about this month's delivery.

The Product List

BioElixia Body Shaper Cellulite Contour Cream. I wouldn't exactly say that I have cellulite, but I will be using it! I'm all about fighting the effects of ageing before it's too late!

The Natural Source Camouflage Colour Crayons. These crayons are really pigmented and glide on the skin so easily! I love the green for the eyes and the somewhat berry colour for the lips. Lust have it's youtube channel have a couple of videos on how to use them.

Goldwell dualsenses Rich Repair and Kerastase leave in treatment. The hair products are good, however, I've been trying to use only natural ingredient products in my hair, so I may have to pass these on to my mum!

Ocean Essence Natural Skin Care Strawberry Rubber Mask. I am mostly excited to use the strawberry rubber mask, because my skin is due for some tlc! I'll be using it tomorrow!

Alash lashes. The lashes! Bold and dramatic. They have an adhesive strip and are 100% human hair. I'll be wearing these on my next night out!

Yay! Vouchers! Now straight onto The Iconic to start shopping!

What did everyone think of the March box?

Health Post: Apple Cider Vinegar

I have just gotten my hands on a bottle of organic and unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar (it was only $4.50 from Woolworths). I have been meaning to buy this for a few months to help with my healthy hair growth, but I have recently found out what ACV can do, and I am sold!
It can help with weight loss and detox, balancing the pH levels of our bodies, fade acne scars, tone skin, moisturise the body, add shine to hair, remove stains from teeth, banish warts, and really, the list continues.
So I'm going to start adding a tablespoon of ACV with a glass of water every morning, and before meals when I'm home. I will definitely also use it for my hair and maybe my acne scars (after I'm done with using almond oil for them).

Who else has used ACV? How was it for you? What did you use it for?

:)

P.s. Apparently Heidi Klum, Megan Fox and Fergie swear by the stuff.

WARNING: DO NOT PUT IT STRAIGHT ON THE FACE UNDILUTED! I do not know what I was thinking, but I put it on without diluting it with water. After five minutes I noticed the patches where I applied it going red. I put my face under the tap for about five minutes and have now moisturised it. Just a tad freaked out!!! It isn't pretty! :(

New online shopping find: Misguided Fashion

I have just recently come across an online store that I had never heard of before. Please let me know if I have been blissfully unaware of Misguided, whilst everyone else has been buying online!
But if I have been, I will still continue, because the clothing and accessories look prettttty good. It reminds me of Forever 21 (way over priced international shipping rates), which I have been missing since my trip to Hawaii late 2012.
I haven't ordered anything from Misguided.... yet! I am posting about it now because until the 17th of March they have free shipping to Aus and New Zealand. So you save $10 to $16 which you can keep in your pocket, or put towards more orders. Yay.

There are soooo many pieces of clothing, I mean, 944 tops... just tops! Also, it's all pretty affordable. Some of my favourite picks are;

Rosie Wet Look Monochrome Skater Skirt

http://www.missguidedau.com/catalog/product/view/id/65445/s/rosie-wet-look-monochrome-skater-skirt/category/545/
I Love this monochrome skater skirt. Dress it up, or dress it down.

Esmera Zig Zag High neck Bodycon Dress

http://www.missguidedau.com/catalog/product/view/id/65437/s/esmera-zig-zag-high-neck-bodycon-dress/category/545/
Again, monochrome. Love this length, and that it can be more formal with a black blazer, or worn out with killer heels and a bold lip.

Mitranda Cut Out Scuba Dress In Khaki

http://www.missguidedau.com/mitranda-cut-out-scuba-dress-57178
Combining the khaki/army trend with leather embellishment. Love this.

Allyson Geek Tee In White

http://www.missguidedau.com/allyson-geek-tee
I saw a really similar version of these tops at Top Shop. From Misguided you can get it in White or Black, or in a sweater style. Super cute!

Let me know if you have ever bought from http://www.missguidedau.com/, and how your experience was!

Fashion Week Trend: Cropped Trousers. From runway to wardrobe.

Virtual OOTD. Day to night.

Healthy Hair Growth!

All my life I have had long hair, I even came out of my mother's womb with a head full of thick hair, and to this day it is still thick. Oh, and really curly. But since high school I have used a lot of heat on my hair... Blow drying, straightening, curling, etc etc, which we all know is not at all good for the health of our locks. It really wasn't too damaged, until I got some foils that were a lot lighter than my naturally very dark dark dark brown hair. So in January, I got the chop. I'd always wondered what it would be like having short hair, and always tried doing faux bobs. But in January I had had enough. What do people say, "new year, new hair", "new hair, new year"? Well it definitely wasn't about becoming a better person or anything like that. I wanted a new style, and healthy hair.

So since getting it cut, I have decided to treat it like Kate Middleton (i.e., royalty). Here are the steps I have been taking to achieve the long healthy hair I want so so bad!

1. No heat! Probably the most important step. No matter how well you treat your hair, if you are going to put hot tools on it, your hair will damage. I have been air drying it, and I have straightened it less than a handful of times, but not for a few weeks. So many people had no idea that I had curly hair, one girl even asked me if I had gotten a perm! No perm here, all natural. I am going to use heat when I have a special event on though, because my curls can get out of hand. Of course I will be using heat protectant and oils (step 3).

2. Silica! This is a mineral that our body needs to keep our skin looking youthful and healthy, and our hair strong, shiny and long. I read somewhere that we have the most silica in our bodies when we are newborn babies, and as we grow older our levels plummet. That's why our skin wrinkles and hair fades. As soon as I read about silica, I was sold. I started taking these http://www.bloomshealth.com.au/products/super-colloidal-silica/ silica tablets twice a day for about a month, and now that they have ran out, I am taking hubner's silica gel.

But one of the best forms of silica is from Bamboo! It is 70% silica! I bought this tea from one of my favourite stores, T2, without trying it first. It was about $12, and I can tell it's going to last a really long time. Especially because you can reuse the tea leaves and they don't lose their flavour or health benefits. It isn't the best tasting tea, but I have gotten used to it. Drink up!

3. For shampoo I use Macadamia Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo. It is sulfate and paraben free, which are two common hair care ingredients which aren't good for your hair. For conditioner, I alternate between the Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Mask, which is also sulfate and paraben free, and the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner. All of these products are so much cheaper to buy online than inshore (I don't think you can buy Aussie products in-store in Australia anyway). These three products are pretty good, but I am keen to try out new ones when they run out.

4. Oils! I luuurrveeee lathering up in oils that are good for my skin and hair. I am using almond oil on my hair and face, and it leaves both feeling really good. I will massage it into my scalp or lather it all over my hair the night before I wash it. There are lots of websites that contain info on almond oil (and probably better than mine!). The other oil is Argan oil. I put this in the ends of my hair almost everyday, wet or dry. It is supposed to nourish the hair. It definitely leaves my hair feeling very soft.

5. Before I wash my hair, I give my scalp a really good massage. This boosts blood flow and stimulates hair growth. Sometimes I do it with almond or argan oil, and other times without. I massage my scalp again when in the shower.

6. Things that I haven't tried yet... Trimming my own hair. I have seen a few girls on YouTube do this, instead of going to the hairdressers to get a trim every month or so. I'm not going to cut of inches, just trim the split ends with good quality scissors. I'll let you know how it goes.
Another things I want to try is coconut oil. Apparently it is really good for keeping your hair moisturised and full of shine.
The last things is drinking Fiji Water. I drink a lot of water, but it's usually Mt Franklin or tap water. Fiji Water is one of the most expensive bottles waters available, but it's full of minerals that our body (including hair and skin) needs to keep healthy. Next time I have the option to buy Fiji Water, I will be doing so!

Here is a before and after, taken just over a week from each other.

My hair in the top photo does look relatively healthy, but it was split ends galore. My goal is to get to that length again (and then longer), but with healthy, shiny locks.

I hope this helps anyone out there with the same hair mission as me! So lather up your hair in oil, brew some bamboo tea, sit back, relax and watch your hair grow. (Maybe not the last one, that could get a bit boring...)

Lust have it! February Box

I realise that this post is a bit late, but if February wasn't such a ridiculously short month, then it would be right on time!
So Lust have it! have not failed this feb, the box is full of great products which I will definitely get use out of. The only semi-negative thing was that we didn't receive one of the collectible boxes this month, because all of the products wouldn't fit, and one of the products wasn't included because of size again. But the quality of the products definitely makes up for it.

First is the full size Summer Tan lotion. Now I haven't used it yet because I still have Le Tan spray tan on me, but I will be as soon as it's fully scrubbed off. Look how dark Summer Tan is!!! And it's a dark brown, not an orange... Tick! I will post a before and after of Summer Tan when I begin using it.

So Second is the Styli-Style L3 Timeless Lipstick, and mine is in the colour Heavenly. I LOVE this colour. I'm going to describe it as a peachy pink with a golden shimmer throughout. As you can see in the second photo below, the lipstick isn't highly pigmented, but it is a strong veil of colour, and the golden highlights shine through! It is really moisturising too! It feels like I am just wearing a lip balm.

So a few people out there might not agree with me, but I think this colour is great! There is no better time to wear it than now, when camouflage prints and colours are right on trend. I definitely recommend using a base coat (I use OPI Nail Envy) before applying the lacquer, because you don't want the dark colour to stain your nails.

Ok, so I LOVE anything to do with moisturising skin and mining youthfulness. A lot of people focus on the face, but we can't ignore the hands, neck and chest. Love these.

Thank you for reading lovelies.

Witchery AW13 Fashion Show Recap

My first proper fashion show!
If women that went to fashion shows all the time read this post, they would probably think that I am so not cool with writing what I am about to write, but I care less than when Kim Kardashian gains a new instagram follower. Wanna share some Kimmie?
But anyway, unlike about 70% of my life, this post isn't about the Kardashian/Jenners.

When my friend offered me a ticket, of course I couldn't turn it down. I love Witchery and David Jones and was excited to see who from the industry would be there.
It was in the beautiful room on level seven at DJs. It was my second time going up there and it didn't disappoint. I want to throw a huge celebration there! Oh and on the way up, in the elevator,I stood next to model Samantha Harris.
On arrival you were offered Sparkling mineral water or a glass of Te Hana sparkling wine or rosé. I took the rosé.
Who watches British reality show Made in Chelsea? My friend Briana died when we spotted Caggie Dunlop. After the show I took a photo of the two of them. Caggie looked so effortlessly good dressed in head to toe Witchery.

We snagged two seats in the second row, and the show began. Witchery's AW13 collection is tdf. Grey, black, leather, metallic with pops of colour here and there. And the printed pants!!!
Most of the female models were braless.. A trend? I'll keep for being lazy at home I think. But otherwise, I love it all.

And so I left Level Seven with a freebies bag (thank you Witchery, Napoleon Perdis and Te Hana), and a thrill. I loveddd it, absolutely loved it. I have always had an interest in the fashion and beauty industry, but it really did peak that night.

I can't wait for SFW!

List of what was worn by each model, in order.

What was in the goodie bag.

Thank you loves.
