Clarion Alley, Mission District, San Francisco

Before I write a whole post dedicated to my time in San Francisco, I just had to dedicate a photo post to the hidden gem that is Clarion Alley. It's located in the Mission district of SF, and is an entire alley way comprised of beautiful painted street art that not only looks food, but expresses a whole range of social commentary about the changes that have occurred in SF over the years.

Little Italy street art

To me, New York City is a world filled with worlds filled with worlds. Walk a few blocks from the fashion famed Soho and you'll end up in Little Italy, where you will hear Italian more than English. There I kept coming across beautiful and wacky street art that you definitely wouldn't expect to find in any Little Italy. Walk a few streets over and you end up I'm China Town, a totally different world to Soho. I couldn't walk down any street in China Town without being offered some sort of fake designer good at least four or five times. 

So close in proximity, yet worlds apart.
