Giuliana Rancic: Style Tips and Favourite Aussie Designers

Superstar TV host, down to Earth fashionista and Westfield Style Ambassador Giuliana Rancic made her Sydney appearance today and let us in on her style secrets and how to be a "true fashionista".

Giuliana's famous line from the many  Hollywood red carpets she has hosted is "who are you wearing?" So who was Giuliana wearing? Dressed by Willow, she wore an all black ensemble featuring sheer pieces ad a deconstructed jacket.

Giuliana loves Australian designers because "they play and take risks with colours and designs". As well as Willow, her other favourite Aussie designers are Ginger and Smart, Cue, Zimmerman, Sass and Bide, Paolo Sebastian and Alex Perry, just to name a few. Giuliana wore Alex Perry to the Grammy Awards this year (pictured below) and said"I've never been on so many best dressed lists". Go Mr. Perry!

This style maven has also been on her fair share of worst dressed lists, but takes it all in her stride, saying that "to be a true fashionista you have to be on worst dressed lists, because it means you're taking chances".

Key pieces that Giuliana says we need in our wardrobes? A leather pencil skirt, suede stiletto ankle boots, a motorcycle jacket and a great pant suit.

Giuliana's top style tips:
1. Less is more; it's not all about showing skin
2. Take chances with your fashion choices
3. High-low dressing is key
4. A pair of killer heels will dress up your outfit from day to night

America, baby. Keeping it Real.

So, tomorrow I leave for a jaunt to the United States of America. New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Waikiki... to be exact.

I could write a 'How to Pack' article or 'How to be a Stylish Traveller', but really, I hate packing for Winter destinations and unless you're a Kardashian and travelling with your glam squad, well it's very hard to be stylish after a long haul flight. So, I'm just going to keep it real and right a list of everything I plan to see and do whilst in that beautiful concrete jungle.

My Favourite Fitness Apps

I always have my iPhone on me, so it is the perfect gym companion whether it's for music or workout inspiration. So below is a list of my top 4 favourite fitness related apps, and they are all free, yay!

1. 30 Day Squat Challenge
I love this app, I am only up to day two, which is 50 squats (day one was 30). It's great because you can't click on, say, day 30, until you have completed the first 29... So I am scared to see how many squats I'll be doing!

2. FIT FIX (by PopSugar)
This is perfect for whether you are working out at home or at the gym. There are workouts for yoga, cardio, strength and targeting different areas of your body. You can track the activities and routines that you have done, and create your own routines too! I don't know what I'd do without this app when I'm at a loss for inspiration at the gym.

3. Nike Training Club
NTC provides you with different workouts based on whether you want to 'get lean', 'get toned', 'get strong', or 'get focused'. The intensity of the workouts depends on whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced. You can track your process and earn rewards too.

4. Pandora
Pandora is a free music streaming app that lets you create your own playlists based on a single song, artist or genre. My gym has free wi-fi so it's perfect for me, but be careful, it might cost you a lot if you're using 3G! There are also different workout playlists like the Yoga Radio, Rap Strength Training Radio, Pop Fitness Radio and one of my favourites, the Latin Workout Radio.

What are your favourite fitness/health apps? Do I need to venture into paid apps?
