Beauty Bargain Alert: Nude by Nature Pack Only $20, Worth Over $160!

Worth over $160 and it cost $20!
Is that not crazy!?

My mum bought this Nude by Nature pack from a store in Birkenhead Point, Sydney. She doesn't remember the name of the shop :( but I will find out when I visit it myself!

So the box contains a mix of makeup and skincare products, which are:
  • Nature's Exfoliating Scrub
  • Nature's Super Anti-Oxidant Foaming Cleanser
  • Nature's Eye & Face Make-up Remover
  • Nature's 24 Hour Anti-ageing Moisturiser
  • Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer
  • Soft Focus Illuminator
  • Flawless Concealer (liquid, mineral)
  • Natural Mineral Eyeliner (brown, waterproof)
I absolutely love the Soft Focus Illuminator (it was in my April favourites)! It is a beautiful gold colour that you can use mixed in with your foundation or on top. I also am really liking all of the skincare products, especially the 24 hour anti-ageing moisturiser. It says it is best for normal to dry skin, and contains jojoba oil, beeswax and ginko biloba. I apply it to my face and neck with Vitamin E cream at night, and my skin feels great in the morning.

My least favourite product is the Liquid Mineral Concealer. It just doesn't cover up well for me.

All of the products are full size and smell so good! Such a healthy, natural smell.

Who else is using any of these products? Thoughts?

A bit about me

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/7347031/?claim=mpz6rmek6ur">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

I am a 20 year old girl from Wollongong/Sydney who (obviously, hence the blog) loves everything beauty/lifestyle related.

I am in my final year of a degree in Communications and Media Studies at the University of Wollongong and I love it. I loveee studying the media. I also blog weekly for two of my subjects about media, technology, communications, current issues in the media and related topic. Very different posts compared with this blog, but I love writing all of them. My blogs are:
http://bcmstudent.wordpress.com, and
http://issuesinmedia.wordpress.com.

I am obsessed with social media! One of my greatest achievements is having my full name as most of my social networking names because I started using them so early (lame?!).
I have Twitter: @natashaprice
Instagram: @natashavictoria
Keek: @natashaprice
and also YouTube aaaand the rest of them.
I love using social media and studying it. For those people who hate on social media. I hate you. ONLY JOKING! Peace and love, people.

In terms of the future, I obviously want to work somewhere in the media field. Where? I'm not really sure. But I'm sure I will figure it out!

I would love to hear from any of you about your beauty/lifestyle/media related loves or hates, your blogs, Twitter, Keek, Instagram or YouTube accounts :)

April Beauty Favourites

2013 is running along so quickly, it's already May! This means I am graduating university soon, travelling to the USA and *drum roll* can tell you about my April beauty faves! Yay!
A few of the items I bought in April, and some I have had for a bit longer but have been using excessively during the past month.
Enjoy!

I am so happy I picked up this Garnier BB cream for normal skin. YouTube beauty guru Chloe Morello recently used the one for oily/combo skin in a video and I absolutely loved how it looked on her. I opted for this one, because my skin is normal/dry. I am trying to get out of the habit of wearing a full coverage foundation on days when I go to uni or to coffee, shopping etc. I can tell this is going to help me. The coverage is light to medium, the colour is neutral (not pink like other BB creams) and it gives me a glowing finish. My skin feels a lot better after I wash this off, then when I wash off a heavy foundation. Love this. $13.99 from Priceline.

This illuminator is gold coloured and works as a lovely highlighter on the cheek bones and forehead. On the back it recommends mixing it in with your foundation before applying it. It is beautiful if you are looking to not use powder and achieve a glowing and/or dewy finish. You can get this from Priceline for $22.95, however my mum got a box of Nude by nature products for only $20 from a store in Sydney (I will find out the name and let you know!)

I bought the Australis Fresh and Flawless Pressed Powder in darkest brown (pictured) and loved it so much I went back and bought it in the shade lighter (for non-tanned days). It is supposed to be a dupe for the MAC Studio Fix Powder. I have never used the MAC powder, but I can tell you, after using the Australis product, I am not even trying MAC's. The F&F powder is full coverage and gives a flawless finish. It covers my under eye circles so much better than any concealer I have tried. It comes with a sponge which is great for when you want full coverage. Use a big brush if you want less coverage. $11.40 from Priceline.

Should I be ashamed of what I am about to say...This is the first Kohl eyeliner I have owned.. I know. But I love this one (derr, that's why it's an April favourite!) I went for brown because I always thought that eyeliner in the rim closed my eyes off too much. This brown is pretty dark so I think it still gives the same effect a black kohl eyeliner would if you're using it with  a smokey eye. I am currently liking using this liner, putting on loads of mascara, lining my upper lid (you don't want the bottom rim to be thicker than the top) and putting a highlight shadow in the inner rim and brow bone. Glam but pulled back. Only $4.99 from Priceline.

I have finally mastered applying false eyelashes! Yay! And I am so happy that I have. I love the look of long and voluminous lashes, and personally, falsies do a much better job of achieve this then mascara (unless you are blessed with great lashes, of course). These revlon ones are perfect for a day to night. They add length and volume, and look really natural. I bought these in Hawaii from Walmart (bless US cosmetics prices) but you can buy Revlon lashes from Priceline and our Aussie equivalent to US drugstores.

I love this Vaseline lip therapy because it is really soothing but thin, so it is great to use when you begin doing your makeup, so your lips are prepped for lipstick/gloss/balm/tar/stain... whatever you're going to use! I bought this from the Reject Shop for a couple of dollars. Bargain.

Ahh Real Techniques. Thank you pixiwoo girls! I love all of my Real Techniques brushes, but the buffing brush is pretty much the only  brush I use for appealing my foundation now. It applies flawlessly and is also great for blending your contouring for no extra harsh lines. I got my brush from iherb in a set which cost $15.50. There is a discount code and more info about the brushes in my post http://corestyleonline.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/my-brand-new-real-techniques-brushes.html .

So much goodness, healing and moisture put into a 300g pack that only cost $3.99. This stuff is amazing. I use it day and night. Before makeup and before bed. I really think that it has helped vanish my acne scars (something that vitamin E is supposed to do). My skin is not as dry anymore too. A little goes a very long way. I bought mine from Priceline.

Loveeee this Rimmel nail polish in Caramel Cupcake. The very dark nude/beige colour is perfect for autumn/winter. This polish dries relatively quickly, doesn't chip easily (thank you) and looks great with just one coat. I got mien from David Jones whilst it was 40% off, but the RRP is about $7.50.

Thank you for reading my April Beauty Faves!

Lust have it! March Box

Yay, the collectable boxes are back! But that's definitely not the most exciting thing about this month's delivery.

The Product List

BioElixia Body Shaper Cellulite Contour Cream. I wouldn't exactly say that I have cellulite, but I will be using it! I'm all about fighting the effects of ageing before it's too late!

The Natural Source Camouflage Colour Crayons. These crayons are really pigmented and glide on the skin so easily! I love the green for the eyes and the somewhat berry colour for the lips. Lust have it's youtube channel have a couple of videos on how to use them.

Goldwell dualsenses Rich Repair and Kerastase leave in treatment. The hair products are good, however, I've been trying to use only natural ingredient products in my hair, so I may have to pass these on to my mum!

Ocean Essence Natural Skin Care Strawberry Rubber Mask. I am mostly excited to use the strawberry rubber mask, because my skin is due for some tlc! I'll be using it tomorrow!

Alash lashes. The lashes! Bold and dramatic. They have an adhesive strip and are 100% human hair. I'll be wearing these on my next night out!

Yay! Vouchers! Now straight onto The Iconic to start shopping!

What did everyone think of the March box?

p.s. check back for my reviews when I start using the products, and for looks and how-to posts!

Birthday Freebies!

Even at a time when in-store retail is going down the drain, some amazing brands are still rewarding their customers with benefits.
I just recently celebrated my birthday and was happily surprised to receive gifts from a couple of my favourite brands... Mimco and Witchery!

If you're a mimco club member you receive $30 on your card to spend online or I store, and $20 from Witchery (both valid for one month). To some this may mean nothing, but I think it's a great way to get yourself a little gift and feel special!

From Mimco I decided to buy the large candle in Tuberose Empire. The box and candle glass are so pretty and it smells really good. The candle was $29.95 from $69.95.

From Witchery I bought a vanilla body creme. It smells delicious and contains shea butter, apricot and coconut oils. And even better, it's made in Australia!

So go out and become members! You also receive rewards when you spend certain amounts in-store and online.

The Beauty of Baby Oil!

Never thought that you'd be using baby oil in between being an actual baby and having one of your own? Think again!

I use baby oil mainly for three things.
1. Removing makeup! Perfect for removing stubborn eye makeup, without irritation (although every one is different so I can't guarantee it won't irritate)

2. Adding into into my home made body scrub. It leaves the skin so smooth.

3. Applying it to my legs after I shave... No red bumps! Ever since I started shaving my kegs in high school, I get little red bumps all over the sides of my legs, it didn't matter what razor I used or what type of shaving cream. Now I rub baby oil all over my legs after shaving and my legs are fine! Silky smooth and no bumps (it also doesn't sting when it goes on, like moisturisers do).

I bought my Johnsons and Johnsons oil from The Reject Shop for $3! And you get a lot in it.
A very affordable product to add to your beauty regime.

Lust Have It! January Box

So a couple of weeks ago I registered to receive a beauty box every month filled with random beauty and hair products, from the website www.lusthaveit.com.au. I was so excited when I found it whilst doing who-knows-what on the internet, because I had no idea that we had this service in Australia! And the best thing about it is that it is only $15 per month, and you do not have to be locked into a yearly contract!

If you haven't heard of these beauty boxes, what happens is that you pay a certain amount, and you receive a beautiful box filled with all different sorts of cosmetics all together valued at over whatever yo. With Lust Have It, you also receive points from ordering the monthly boxes, which you can spend on buying different (or more) products from their website! Lust have it had a few different types of boxes, but I really liked what was in the previous month's boxes, so I signed up for this one.

So this is just a little review of the January Box.

I LOVE the packaging. I will definitely be reusing these boxes, maybe stacking them all up.

Nude by Nature BB 5-in-1 Miracle Cream
When I swatched this I thought it was going to give a good coverage because it felt quite creamy, however on my face it was just like any other BB cream. It smells really natural and will be good to give some moisture and colour to my skin.

Face of Australia Bronzing Loose Powder
A nice medium coloured bronzing powder with a lot of shimmer. So I would use this on my check bones, and maybe on my chest, but not for contouring.

Lust have it! Kabuki Brush
So at first I thought it would be good to apply powder to the face, but today I used it to apply my foundation and it gave a really nice finish! Very happy with this brush.

GKMBJ Lactic hydrating shampoo and fortifying honey creme
These hair products are from a new range and are apparently tested and proven by qualified hairdressers, using high quality ingredients. I will definitely test them out once I am done with my current hair care routine. The smell is ok.

Amuse Nail Lacquer
I am not a very big lover of blue nail polish, so I won't be using this one. It is much more of a lighter, neon blue in person. I do like that the colour is very pigmented so you don't need multiply coats.

I definitely will be substring to February's Lust have it! box. Mainly because I just love not knowing what you're going to get (it's like having a birthday every month!), and I think that it is worth the $15!
